What we remodel in Lynnwood
The 1960s were Lynnwood's biggest building decade, and only about 12% of its homes date from 2010 or later (U.S. Census). Bathrooms and kitchens are our main work here, and the cards below cover everything else we take on.

Kitchen Remodeling
When several rooms need work, we plan the order with you, start with the space you use most, and talk through living at home during the job.
Whole-Home Remodeling

Home Renovation Design Services
Water-damaged walls, ceilings, subfloors and flooring, plus fences and gates; along the Scriber Creek corridor, the city notes flooding has recurred for decades.
Repairs & Restoration
Pergolas, decks, stairs and privacy walls for Lynnwood yards; the city exempts some small decks from permits, and we check which side of that line yours falls on.
Decks & Pergolas
Paint for walls, trim and siding, stain for decks, and refinished doors; in homes built before 1978, testing for lead paint first is the safe move.

Houses wired between 1965 and 1973 may have aluminum wiring (CPSC), and paint from before 1978 may contain lead (EPA). In Lynnwood's older homes, testing and a careful look behind the walls come before demolition.
Of everything our Google reviewers say, 'attention to detail' comes up most. We bring that to trim, tile and paint lines.
Plans, numbers and any change along the way are explained in whichever language your household prefers.
We back our workmanship for three years after your Lynnwood project wraps up.
About 40% of Lynnwood's homes were built in the 1960s and 70s (U.S. Census), so our visits look closely at wiring, pipes and layout.

About Ultra Renovations
AJ Lopez Murillo's roots are in the Pacific Northwest. He learned the work across several trades and supervised team projects before starting Ultra, a Latino-owned company he still runs himself, built on the idea that professionalism is what sets a contractor apart.
For Lynnwood families, that means a bilingual crew from Lake Stevens, straight answers in English or Spanish, and three years of workmanship coverage.

How it works
Four steps, from your first message to the final walkthrough.
Call or WhatsApp (425) 268-0035, or fill out the form below with a few lines about what you'd like to change.
We walk the room, measure, and talk layout, finishes and budget. In a pre-1980 house we also note wiring, pipes and materials that may need testing.
Your estimate and scope are explained line by line, in English or Spanish. The city says many Lynnwood addresses sit outside city limits, so we check yours. Work begins once you approve.
The crew does the work, then we go through the finished space with you, room by room.
Our warranty
If something we built in your Lynnwood home isn't holding up within three years of completion, give us a call and we'll return to take a look. Ask for the full terms when we review your estimate together.
Lynnwood questions
Yes. We work across Lynnwood, including City Center, Alderwood, Meadowdale, Cedar Valley, Scriber Lake and South Lynnwood, and in nearby Larch Way.
Inside city limits, permits come from the City of Lynnwood Development and Business Services Permit Center. Unincorporated areas nearby, such as Larch Way, go through Snohomish County Planning and Development Services.
Bathroom and kitchen remodels are our main work, and many Lynnwood projects start in a home from the 1960s or 70s. We take on whole-home remodels as well. Our past projects also include decks, fences and pergolas, painting, new flooring and water damage repair.
Generally no. Lynnwood's noise code, LMC 10.12.300, limits building construction, excavation, demolition, alteration and repair in residential and business districts to 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Work outside those hours is allowed only for urgent public safety needs, with approval from the mayor's office. Plan your Lynnwood remodel schedule around those hours.
A Lynnwood building permit expires if no inspection is scheduled, or extension requested, within 180 days of issue. Each inspection extends it another 180 days, but no permit lasts beyond two years from issue. Request inspections online at LynnwoodWa.gov/Permit by 4 p.m. the day before, using an account that matches the permit's owner or applicant.
A contractor remodeling your home collects sales tax on the total contract price, at the rate where the work takes place. For Lynnwood, the Washington Department of Revenue lists a combined rate of 10.7% for October 1 to December 31, 2026. On a $20,000 remodel, that adds $2,140 in sales tax.
Not yet. The City of Lynnwood is developing a pre-approved plan program for detached accessory dwelling units (DADUs) to make design and permitting faster and more predictable. Plan submissions closed July 2, 2026, and the city contacted applicants chosen for a second review stage in August. For updates, call Lynnwood Planning at 425-670-5410.
It can, but Snohomish County offers relief. Owners of detached single-family homes in Lynnwood may get 3 years of relief from assessed value increases caused by additions or remodels. File the claim with the Snohomish County Assessor before construction is complete. State rules cap the exemption at 30% of the home's prior value, once every five years.
Por supuesto. Somos latinos y bilingües, así que en Lynnwood le atendemos en español por teléfono o WhatsApp, cuando vamos a ver su casa, al repasar la cotización y al entregar el trabajo.
