Once plans are listed, you buy one from its designer for no more than $1,000, add a site plan, and the permit review covers mainly site elements, so it's shorter and cheaper. What is the sales tax on a remodel in Edmonds?+
A contractor remodeling your home collects sales tax on the total contract price, at the rate where the work takes place. For Edmonds, the Washington Department of Revenue lists a combined rate of 10.7% for October 1 to December 31, 2026. On a $20,000 remodel, that adds $2,140 in sales tax.
